Earl White — Executive Advisor
Earl’s career has combined both the corporate treasury and banking worlds. Prior to becoming involved in the treasury advisory area, Earl worked for major international banking groups in Australasia, Asia and the United States. In his last banking role he was responsible for the management of the group’s domestic interest rate risk, and had overall responsibility for all foreign exchange risk and the bank’s treasury marketing unit. He also negotiated a number of global funding facilities for the bank.
As a treasury advisor, Earl has advised a number of major borrowers on funding alternatives available both domestically and within global capital markets. He has also advised on, and assisted in, the preparation of a number of policy and procedure protocols for the management of treasury risk for a wide range of organisations including government entities and public listed companies. He manages a portfolio of clients with total currency and interest rate exposures in excess of $20 billion.
Earl is a member of the CA College of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Certified Treasury Professional member of both the Australian Finance and Treasury Association Limited and the Institute of Financial Professionals of New Zealand. He has a bachelor degree from Massey University and a Post Graduate diploma in finance from Auckland University. He has also undertaken Post Graduate study at Ashridge Business School in the United Kingdom.
